How to do it

Stand with a dumbbell in each hand and bend your knees slightly. Maintain that knee angle as you rise onto the balls of your feet, then lower your heels under control. Do not turn the movement into a squat.

Form cues

  • Hold a shallow knee bend.
  • Keep your torso steady.
  • Raise and lower your heels slowly.
