How to do it

Place a light barbell across your upper back. With soft knees and a braced trunk, hinge at the hips until your torso approaches parallel to the floor or you reach the end of your comfortable range. Stand by driving your hips forward without rounding your back.

Form cues

  • Keep a slight bend in your knees.
  • Send your hips back.
  • Keep your trunk braced.
