How to do it
On a modestly declined bench, secure your feet and hold one dumbbell firmly against your chest. Curl through your trunk and rise to a seated position without jerking or swinging the weight. Lower slowly through the full descent.

- Keep the dumbbell against your chest.
- Avoid pulling yourself up with your legs.
