How to do it

Set the seat so the handles sit level with the nipple line and the back and shoulders rest flat against the pad. Press out until the arms are almost straight, then return under control until you feel a stretch across the chest without the shoulders rolling forward. The fixed path makes it a good first pressing movement for beginners and a safe way to train close to failure without a spotter.
