How to do it
Hinge at the hips with a flat back, or lie chest-down on an incline bench, letting the dumbbells hang below the shoulders. With soft elbows and the thumbs pointing down, raise the arms out to the sides until they are level with the torso, then lower slowly. Use light weight and higher reps, and keep the traps from taking over by not shrugging.
Form cues
- Thumbs down, elbows soft
- Light weight, high reps
