How to do it

Stand in an open doorway, grip both sides of the frame at chest height, and place the feet just inside the doorway. Lean back until the arms are straight and the body forms one line, then pull the chest to the frame by driving the elbows back and squeezing the shoulder blades together. Lower under control. The closer your feet are to under your hands, the harder it gets.

Form cues

  • Squeeze the shoulder blades before the elbows bend
  • Keep the feet planted next to the frame
