How to do it

Stand in a multi-hip machine with the working leg against the outer pad and hold the handles. Keeping your trunk steady, move the leg out to the side through a controlled range, then return without letting the weight drop.

Form cues

  • Keep your pelvis level.
  • Move your leg out without swinging.
  • Return slowly.
