How to do it

Secure a band to a stable anchor above shoulder height. Face away, hold an end in each hand near your upper chest, and step forward into a staggered stance. Press forward and slightly downward toward lower-chest height. Return slowly, keeping your torso steady and elbows from flaring excessively.

Form cues

  • Press forward and slightly down.
  • Keep your ribs stacked over your pelvis.
  • Control the return.
