How to do it

Sit on a bench close to a low pulley with your knees bent and the balls of your feet planted. Hold a rope attachment securely across your lower thighs, just above the knees, so the cable pulls downward on them. Raise your heels, pause, and lower them under control.

Form cues

  • Keep your knees bent.
  • Raise your heels without bouncing.
