How to do it

Lie on your back with knees bent and hold one dumbbell securely against your chest. Curl your trunk upward, then continue to a seated position without throwing your arms forward. Reverse the motion under control, letting your upper back reach the floor last.

Form cues

  • Keep the dumbbell close to your chest.
  • Roll up without jerking.
  • Lower one segment at a time.
